Note:
INSTONE Marble & Granite is NOT responsible for any demolition,
carpentry (including subtop support for granite), electric, or
plumbing.
CABINETS
All cabinets must be level and
installed in their final position. No changes to your project may
be made once a template has been produced. INSTONE Marble & Granite
will not guarantee the fit of your stone if any changes are made to
your cabinets after templates are made. For a cleaner finish, do
not set appliance garages until after stone is placed.
SUBTOPS
5/8” Plywood subtop must be
secured to cabinets, flush with the face frame of the cabinets. If
you are using a ¾” detail, you may opt to recess the plywood into
the cabinet box, flush with the surface of the cabinet frame. This
will eliminate the need to cover the exposed plywood with wood
cabinet trim after the granite installation. Epoxy allowance is
typically 1/8” – 3/16”.
SINKS
Under-Mount & Top-Mount Sinks must
be present at time of template.
FAUCET
HOLES
All faucet locations and hole
diameters to be determined and drilled into plywood. INSTONE Marble
& Granite uses standard hole diameters of 1 3/8”. If these are not
marked, our installer will not make a decision of your faucet
location and will not drill faucet holes. This will require an
additional appointment to be made with our office staff.
If
you temporarily wish to hook up faucets after the template, it is
imperative they are disconnected and removed upon our return.
This
is also necessary for FULL SPLASH installation appointments. INSTONE Marble & Granite employees are not responsible
to disconnect
or remove these items.
COOKTOP/RANGES
If a cook-top is specified, a cutout
should be made in the plywood subtop in the correct location. If a
range is specified, it must be on site for our installer to view and
measure. Do not install or hook up either appliance until after
installation.
VERY
IMPORTANT, All sinks, faucets or ranges and all hardware or
appliances pertaining to the stone work must be on site for
inspection at time of template.
